weird: check
I'm pretty sure one of Julian's favorite places is alone, in his bed in his dark bedroom. I am so amused by the volume of his chatter when he's in there in the dark, getting ready to fall asleep. (the room where his bed is has no windows) Especially compared to his state of being just minutes prior. Usually he's subdued, sitting calmly, watching and staring. And then we put him down and the squawking begins. He often requires little to no hugging before going to bed. He is more of the "just let me be, man. Let me be" type. I am amused.
Goal of having a weird child looks promising.

I'm sure he's just waiting patiently for you to leave so he can go over the highlights of his day and mentally plan for the next day. (Saying it out loud helps motivate him to get the things on his checklist done.) I do that all the time. My husband also thinks I'm weird.
ha ha, i love that. I think you are right.
I guess we all need a little alone time now and then, right?
